Founded in 2002 in South Africa, and in 1935 originally in the USA – The Upper Room, Africa Upper Room is a new model for international ministry, drawing people together throughout the continent, practicing the daily disciplines of reading the Bible, praying, and sharing the journey with Christians around the world. As a publisher and retailer of Christian books and materials driven by ecumenical, interfaith, and inclusive values, Africa Upper Room Ministries (AURM) aims to offer every soul the opportunity to grow holistically through spending time with God every day. Its operations are undertaken in pursuit of growing people’s daily spiritual practice and lifelong journey in the likeness and love of Jesus Christ. AURM seeks to establish a reciprocal relationship between Africa and the wider world whereby AURM is both a giver and receiver of spiritual resources.
