At Africa Upper Room Ministries, we are committed to deepening the spiritual lives of Christians across Africa. Since 2002, we have provided resources and support to help believers of all ages experience God more fully.
Our history
More than just books. Rooted in faith and community.
AURM is part of The Upper Room, a global ministry established in 1935. Our journey began in Africa with the publication of our daily devotional guide in 2002. Today the guide is read in English and Portuguese, reaching believers in South Africa, Angola, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Eswatini and Botswana.
The first response to the devotional guide was overwhelmingly positive, and readership grew quickly. Over the years, a network of dedicated partners has formed around it: churches, Sunday school classes and individuals who support the mission financially and in prayer. Together they make sure the guide reaches those who need it, building a deeper connection with God across many communities.
Alongside our publications, AURM runs programmes that nurture spiritual growth and encourage daily prayer. They come from our commitment to meaningful, life-changing experiences for individuals and whole congregations, and they carry the work of The Upper Room further, here at home.
